Tanzanites:

Tanzanites are found exclusively in Tanzania, and I assume the deposits will be exhausted in a few years. Consequently, the price for these stones will rise until a new Tanzanite deposit is found. So, in my opinion, large tanzanites with very good dark color and clarity are a good investment, with reservations, of course.

Tanzanites belong to the Zoisite group and have a hardness of 6 ½ to 7.

Tanzanites are valuable gemstones. They have a blue/violet to blue/green or green color. The darkest blue/violet stones are the most expensive. An unheated Tanzanite can be recognized by a reddish color in the stone when it is turned. Heated stones lose this reddish color and then become blue/violet.
